I first met Peter on 27th March 1965, and we were to spend the next year billeted in next door rooms at Cranwell. My first impressions were of a thoroughly decent, honourable and scrupulously honest individual. Over the years nothing changed that view and when we finally served together in 1992 at Lyneham those first impressions proved unerringly accurate - he hadn't changed. Peter was true to himself and we shall all miss him. Who would have though that those two innocent Cranwell cadets would still have been enjoying one another's company so many years later. Ian Hartley
