Mary Both Norfolk & Suffolk Wing and I have been most grateful for Peter's unstinting support for the many and varied activities during his distinguished Corps service from 2006. Such commitment is second to none and indicative of how he made 221 (Great Yarmouth) Squadron ATC so special for its people and the local community. On a personal note, it also reflects the charisma that he had all those years ago when we on C Squadron together as Flight Cadets at the RAF College. The vibrant atmosphere he generated was clearly evident when I attended parades at 221 and those splendid Wing Dining In Nights. It was always a pleasure to chat with Peter and sense the way he encouraged his fellow volunteers and the cadets. I am sure you will have similar recollections from his many friends and colleagues. Hopefully they will bring you some happy thoughts of your great man's value and dedication to the service he loved and indeed the respect that he earned from the Royal Air Force and the Air Cadet Organisation alike. The success of 221's cadets and the fines times they have had owe much to Peter's contributions, attention to detail and infectious enthusiasm. All these qualities and more came across strongly during his time on 221 and indeed at 469 (Lowestoft)Squadron before that. His presence gave each unit a distinctive 'buzz'. He will not be forgotten and remains an inspiration to everyone who knew him. Group Captain Brett Morrell
