Mary Peter was a very special person who devoted himself wholeheartedly to the support of cadets and staff serving on No 221 (Great Yarmouth) Squadron and before that at No 469 (Lowestoft) Squadron. Through his selfless commitment and dedication he had a major and positive impact on the development of a great many young people. I felt it was important to let you know of the high regard in which Peter was held by me and by the rest of Norfolk and Suffolk Wing. Peter seemed to touch the lives of all who came into contact with him and they were undoubtedly richer for the experience. People like Peter are few and far between in an uncompromising age when gentlemanly conduct, sheer professionalism and selfless dedication to the needs of others often appear unfashionable; he was a very special person who will be greatly missed.
